Outdoor Roller Skating in Alabama



Places to rollerskate outdoors in the U.S. state of Alabama including paved multi-use trails, outdoor roller hockey rinks, outdoor skate dance circles, and other outdoor roller skating venues.

Chief Ladiga Trail
Parts of this 33 mile paved multi-use trail are paved and suitable for roller skating. The trail runs between the town of Anniston, Alabama to the Alabama/Georgia border. The trail is located in both Cleburne and Calhoun Counties. Select from the menu on the right side of this page to view a printable, PDF-format map of the Chief Ladiga Trail.

Chattahoochee Valley Rail Trail
This 7.5 mile paved rail trail in Chamber County was built in the railroad bed of the former Chattachoochee Valley Railroad after it stopped running in 1992. The trail has an asphalt surface and it runs between the historic towns of Shawmut and River View Alabama. Also known as the CVRR Trail.

Horse Creek Trail
This 3.2 mile, partly paved rail trail is located in the town of Dora in Walker County, Alabama. It begins near T.S. Boyd School and it ends at the Horse Creek Golf Course on Highway 78. About 2.2 miles of the trail is 12 feet wide and it has a paved asphalt surface. One mile is an unpaved nature trail.

Robertson Rail Trail
This 2 mile, alphalt-paved trail is located in the town of Robertsdale in Baldwin County, Alabama. One end of the trail is at Hughen Street and the other end is at East Silverhill Avenue. The trail was built in the former railroad bed of the former Louisville and Nashville Railroad Line.

Vulcan Rail Trail
The Vulcan Trail is a 1 mile, alphalt-paved trail located in the town of Birmingham in Jefferson County, Alabama. The trail begins near Vulcan Park, at Richard Arrington Boulevard and it ends at 11th Place South. The Vulcan Trail was built in the railroad bed of the former L&N Birmingham Mineral Railroad.
