This rink located a few miles south of San Francisco in
the city of San Mateo closed in April of 2001. In 2002, the rink building was bought
for $2.9 million by Gene Klein, Jr, the CEO of BarkerBlue Digital Imaging.
Mr. Klein He found a pair of old roller skates in the building and he had
them bronzed and mounted with a plaque that reads "Congratulations
on Your New Skate of the Art Facility". That plaque still hangs in the
lobby of the renovated building.

the Bosanova/Skateland roller rink closed in 2002.
sometime later about 10,000 square feet of that building was
expected to be turned into a new Family Dollar store.
The store developors planned to retain and refurnish the former roller rink's
wooden floor to give their store a fresh, modern look.
According to this article the Bosanova/Skateland rink was closed by
owner Larry Bishop in 2002 because he wanted to focus his time on his
Skate America rink in Belmont. Is the Bosanova/Skateland rink in this
article the same rink as the Bosanova rink in the above "Roller Rink Closed" article?
