The quad wheels used for indoor artistic roller skating are
typically very hard (97A to 103a) and have a tread width
of about 30mm and a diameter of about 55mm to 65mm. Freestyle
singles skaters tend to use wheels on the smaller end and
figure skaters and dance skaters tend to use somewhat larger wheels.
On a cement floor skaters usually prefer a softer wheel then they
would use on a wooden floor. The wheels used by artistic roller skaters
are also the wheels most often used by indoor recreational skaters.
Speed Quad Wheels
Quad skate wheels for indoor speed roller skating are
typically wider and harder then other quad skating wheels.
The wheels used for quad speed skating are also often
used for roller derby and recreational skating.
